CVRF Photo Contest

Submission deadline: June 15, 2021

Coastal Villages Region Fund (CVRF) is announcing a photo contest of our twenty communities and vessels.  Submitted photos will be considered for our 2020 Annual Report, social media, and marketing purposes. Photographer does not need to currently reside in a CVRF member community.  There is no limit on submission entries.  There will be random drawings held biweekly for entries with a final selection after the closing period.  Photos submitted must include a signed Image Release form.  Photo submissions will be accepted until June 15, 2021, 11:59 PM AKST.

Submission Rules

  • CVRF board members and employees do not qualify to enter, but spouses or other family members can participate
  • The photographer and any person(s) visible in the photo(s) must review and sign the CVRF Image Release form to be eligible for drawings and final selection
  • Send photo(s) and CVRF Image Release form(s) to
    • If a photo file is too large to email, call 907-278-5151 or 1-888-795-5151 and ask for Katie to discuss an alternate form of submission before the closing date

Photo Guidelines to be Considered for Giveaways and Prizes

  • Photos that are high resolution/quality digital photos
    • Taken with a DSLR, drone or a phone
      • Professional or candid, send them in!
  • Photos that are taken in our 20 communities
    • Chefornak, Chevak, Eek, Goodnews Bay, Hooper Bay, Kipnuk, Kongiganak, Kwigillingok, Mekoryuk, Napakiak, Napaskiak, Newtok, Nightmute, Oscarville, Platinum, Quinhagak, Scammon Bay, Toksook Bay, Tuntutuliak, and Tununak
  • Photos that are taken of our vessels
    • Northern Hawk, North Sea, Arctic Sea, Arctic Mariner, Flicka, and Lilli Ann
  • Photos that capture any of the following activities:
    • People/Community – everyday life
    • Artwork/Culture – traditions and expression
    • Subsistence – any part of the lifestyle
    • Wildlife/Scenery – taken in & around our 20 villages
    • CVRF – any interaction with programs or products

Biweekly Giveaways

  • Random drawings for Visa gift cards ($25 – $200)

Final Selection Prizes

  • Visa gift cards ($100 – $300)
  • CVRF jacket and baseball cap
