TRAINING


CVRF is committed to providing our member residents with consistent training opportunities that address the current skills needed for the individual in the region.  

This program is intended for residents seeking vocational, or trade training that lasts from a few days to up to 12 weeks, depending on the course.  Training areas include, but are not limited to: Carpentry, Electrical, Heavy Equipment Operation, Maintenance, Welding, Plumbing, Certified Nurse Assistant, Marine licensing, and more.

WHO MAY APPLY

In order to qualify for the training application, a student:

  1. Must be accepted into an accredited training program, with a proof of acceptance
  2. Must be a current resident in a CVRF community for 1 consecutive year
  3. Must have a high school diploma or have earned a G.E.D

HOW TO APPLY

  2. Complete Training application online
  3. Acceptance letter from the training institution
  4. Cost information sheet completed by the training institution planning to attend
  5. Current resume
  6. Two letters of recommendation (must not be relatives)

IMPORTANT TIMELINES

  1. Completed application with all required documentation:  30 days prior to the first day of training
