TRAINING


CVRF is committed to providing our member residents with training opportunities for the development of an individual's skills.  

This program is intended for residents seeking vocational, or trade training that lasts from a few days to up to 12 weeks, depending on the course.  Training areas include, but are not limited to: Carpentry, Electrical, Heavy Equipment Operation, Maintenance, Welding, Plumbing, Certified Nurse Assistant, Marine licensing, and more.

WHO MAY APPLY

In order to qualify for the training program, a student:

  1. Must be accepted into an accredited training program, with proof of acceptance
  2. Must be a current resident in a CVRF community for 12 consecutive months or more
  3. Must have a high school diploma or have earned a G.E.D

HOW TO APPLY

  1. Complete the online Residency Verification at http://workfishhope.cosatalvillages.org
  2. Complete the online training application once you've been verified as a resident, at http://workfishhope.coastalvillages.org. Application must include:          
       a.  Acceptance letter from the training institution
       b.  Cost information sheet completed by the training institution planning to attend
       c.  Current resume
       d.  Two letters of recommendation (must not be relatives)

IMPORTANT TIMELINES

  1. Completed application with all required documents:  30 days prior to the first day of training
